Oh my goodness, this is such exciting news! Both Missy and Lacey are absolutely beautiful, and pairing them with Max sounds like the perfect match — those puppies are going to be stunning. I love how much care and love you put into raising them; it really shows in how you describe your process. Do you know yet if you’ll be sharing early photos or updates once the puppies arrive in October? I’d love to follow along and see them grow!
Aw, thank you so much! ???? We’re over the moon about these pairings — Max, Lacey, and Missy make quite the dream team, don’t they? I can already tell these pups are going to melt hearts.
And yes! I’ll definitely be sharing updates and early photos once the puppies arrive at the end of the month. You can follow along right here on the website or over on our Facebook page for all the behind-the-scenes chaos (and cuteness overload ????✨).
Thank you again for the kind words — it means a lot to know people are as excited as we are! ????
How exciting, I’ve been spending countless hours researching miniature dachshunds as I am really wanting to add a fur baby into our family.
I would love to add a beautiful dapple dachshund, but I am so torn on the long-haired and short-haired versions.
Do you have a preference and or could share some light in what could narrow my decision?
Dapples can be gorgeous, but I have heard that they come with a lot of genetic nuance.
Do you perform specific testing prori so you avoid double dapple or related risk factors?
Great questions — and I love that you’re doing your research! ????
Yes, all my dogs are DNA tested and cleared through Embark, so we completely avoid double-dapple risks. Health always comes first here.
As for coats, short-haired are lower maintenance, while long-haired (like Max!) tend to be a bit more chill and cuddly. Honestly, you can’t go wrong — once the puppies arrive, one usually steals your heart and makes the choice for you. ????
